(1) Infants with coxsackie myocarditis have trouble breathing and sometimes develop cyanosis , a bluish color of the skin, lips, and nails caused by too little oxygen in the blood.(2) The patient's general appearance should be assessed for evidence of resting dyspnea, cyanosis and cachexia.(3) There was no clubbing, cyanosis , edema, arthritis, lymphadenopathy, or rash.(4) The skin and mucous membranes should be inspected for cyanosis , pallor, ecchymoses, telangiectasia, gingivitis, or evidence of bleeding from the oral or nasal mucosa.(5) Physical examination revealed a dehydrated man with poor skin turgor but no evidence of pedal edema, cyanosis , dubbing, or telangiectasia.(6) The listing of aortic atresia as cyanotic is arguable, according to my pediatric cardiology associates; I have never chosen to include it as such in my annual lectures to medical students, but perhaps I should reconsider.(7) The postoperative assessment includes monitoring the patient for cyanosis, impaired respiratory functions, or other signs of airway compromise and inspecting the surgical site for signs of cyanotic or ischemic tissue.(8) In children, clubbing usually occurs with cystic fibrosis or uncorrected cyanotic congenital heart disease.(9) It is the most common cyanotic congenital heart defect.(10) People with congenital diseases of the heart or lungs, such as cyanotic congenital heart disease, are at high risk of infections which can then spread to the brain.
